In addition to Original Medicare (Part A and B), Medicare plans fall into 3 categories:

helps cover the costs of prescription medications​.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

include HMOs and PPOs, these plans must cover all Medicare services provided under Part A and B. Plans are offered starting at $0 premium but charge different out-of-pocket costs. Usually, these plans include drug coverage (Part D) and ancillary benefits e.g. dental, vision, hearing, etc.
