Whole Life Insurance (also called Permanent Insurance)
Life insurance can provide much more flexibility than simply leaving behind a death benefit. Whole life insurance provides guaranteed coverage with the added benefit of accumulating cash value. Cash value grows tax deferred inside your policy and can be used for a variety of purposes including: taking loans, paying premiums or providing a source of cash.

In addition, whole life policies can include additional benefits called riders. One such example is the Chronic Illness Rider, which allows the policy holder to accelerate the death benefit should you suffer a qualifying event.
